Terms of Service

1. About My CFB

My CFB is an independent college football analytics and modeling application. The Service allows users to create custom models, choose and weight statistical factors, generate team rankings and game predictions, compare model output with market information, track historical results, and review schedules, scores, statistics, and related football information.

My CFB is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA, any college or university, athletic conference, sportsbook, broadcaster, or other organization unless expressly stated.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use My CFB. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Service only with a parent or legal guardian's involvement or permission where required. You may not use the Service if doing so would violate applicable law.

The Service does not currently collect birth dates or technically verify age during signup.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate account information, keep it reasonably current, protect your credentials and recovery codes, and accept responsibility for activity performed through your account.

You must not share credentials in a way that compromises security, access another account without authorization, impersonate another person, create an account for fraudulent or unlawful purposes, or circumvent authentication, security controls, rate limits, or access restrictions.

Local accounts require email verification before login. My CFB may use other authentication measures, including optional authenticator-based two-factor authentication and recovery codes. Contact [email protected] if you believe your account is compromised.

4. Google and other third-party sign-in

My CFB may allow authentication through Google or another configured OpenID Connect provider. Use of those services is governed by the provider's terms and policies. Connecting an identity does not give My CFB ownership of your provider account, and we do not guarantee that any provider will remain available.

For security, a matching email address alone does not automatically connect a third-party identity to an existing local account. Existing users should sign in first and connect a provider through their profile.

5. User models and content

You may create and store model names, configurations, factor weights, settings, and related content ("User Content"). As between you and My CFB, you retain any rights you hold in original User Content.

You grant My CFB a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, reproduce, and use User Content as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, generate requested rankings and predictions, preserve historical records, provide backups and security, troubleshoot, and improve requested features.

The current Service does not provide a feature for users to publish or share private models. If an explicit sharing feature is introduced and you choose to use it, additional presentation or terms may apply. You are responsible for ensuring that submitted content is lawful and does not violate another person's rights.

6. Historical predictions and model records

A core function of My CFB is preserving historical analytical evidence, including when a prediction was generated, the model and evidence used, model revisions, rankings and predictions created before games, later evaluations, and related records.

Some records are intentionally immutable or protected against retroactive editing. Changing or archiving a model does not rewrite historical output created under an earlier version.

My CFB does not currently provide self-service account deletion. A requested account closure may require manual handling, and certain historical analytical records may remain associated, be disassociated where appropriate, or be retained when reasonably necessary to preserve statistical integrity, prevent manipulation, maintain security, or meet legal obligations, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

7. Experimental models and predictions

My CFB models, rankings, probabilities, scores, estimated margins, and predictions are experimental analytical outputs. They may be wrong.

The Service may rely on incomplete, delayed, incorrect, revised, or unavailable source data. Models may contain assumptions, simplifications, statistical limitations, software errors, or methodological weaknesses. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

We do not represent that any model will correctly predict sporting events, outperform betting markets, generate a profit, achieve a particular accuracy, or remain suitable for any particular purpose. You are responsible for independently evaluating the information presented.

8. No gambling, financial, or professional advice

My CFB is an analytics and entertainment service. It is not a sportsbook and does not accept or place wagers. Nothing in the Service is gambling, financial, investment, or other professional advice.

Point spreads, market comparisons, predicted margins, probabilities, and historical results are not recommendations or guarantees that you should wager. If you gamble independently, you assume that risk and are responsible for applicable laws and age or location requirements. Never gamble more than you can afford to lose.

9. No current sportsbook, advertising, affiliate, or payment service

My CFB currently has no sportsbook integration, sportsbook account connection, affiliate or referral links, advertising program, payment processor, billing system, or paid subscription. It does not participate in wagers, deposits, withdrawals, promotions, or sportsbook account decisions.

If third-party commercial links, sponsorships, advertisements, affiliate relationships, or paid features are introduced, applicable terms and material relationships will be disclosed before they apply. Third-party services would remain responsible for their own terms, privacy practices, eligibility rules, outages, and transactions.

10. Sports data and third-party information

My CFB uses information obtained from third-party sources, including CollegeFootballData.com (CFBD). It may include schedules, teams, statistics, rankings, scores, game status, betting lines, recruiting, roster or transfer information, logos, and related sports data.

Third-party data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, corrected later, or unavailable. We do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or continued availability. Corrections may affect future calculations or displays while point-in-time historical evidence remains preserved.

11. Intellectual property

Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Service and its original software, design, text, features, presentation, branding, and other protectable content are owned by or licensed to My CFB and may be protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the Service for personal, lawful purposes under these Terms.

These Terms do not grant ownership of My CFB software, branding, datasets, or proprietary materials. Third-party names, logos, trademarks, statistics, and materials remain the property of their respective owners. Identification or informational use does not imply endorsement.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully or to harass, abuse, threaten, or harm others;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service;
• gain or attempt unauthorized access to systems, accounts, databases, or networks;
• probe or exploit security vulnerabilities without authorization;
• bypass authentication, authorization, security controls, or rate limits;
• introduce malicious software or harmful code;
• use automation that creates an unreasonable operational burden;
• extract substantial portions of the Service or underlying data for unauthorized redistribution or a competing data service;
• misuse third-party data or falsely claim affiliation with My CFB; or
• assist another person in doing any of the above.

Normal search-engine indexing of pages intentionally made public by My CFB is permitted.

13. Availability and changes

My CFB is under active development and may be a beta or experimental service. Features may be added, changed, limited, suspended, or removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, a particular ingestion or prediction schedule, permanent availability of every historical feature, or error-free results.

We may perform maintenance and establish reasonable limits on accounts, models, computation, storage, API usage, or other resources.

14. Free and future paid features

My CFB currently provides the Service without charge and does not collect payment or billing information. We may introduce optional paid services later. Before charging you, we will disclose the price and material billing terms and obtain required authorization. Additional subscription, renewal, cancellation, or refund terms may then apply. A currently free feature will not create a retroactive charge.

15. Suspension, termination, and deletion requests

You may stop using My CFB at any time and may request account deletion by contacting [email protected]. The Service currently has no self-service deletion control.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, threatened security or reliability, used an account fraudulently or unlawfully, created unreasonable risk, or if action is legally required. Where practical, we may provide notice, but immediate action may be necessary.

Termination does not require deletion of records that may lawfully and reasonably be retained under the Privacy Policy.

16. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, feature requests, bug reports, or other feedback, you give My CFB permission to use it without restriction or compensation to improve or develop the Service. This does not transfer ownership of unrelated User Content or personal information.

17. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." MY CFB DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

MY CFB DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, ACCURATE, SECURE, OR SUITABLE FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY SPORTS PREDICTION, MODEL RESULT, BETTING OUTCOME, OR FINANCIAL RESULT.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

18. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MY CFB AND ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF THE SERVICE.

This includes losses arising from reliance on predictions, rankings, odds, market information, statistics, or other analytical output.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MY CFB'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO MY CFB DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR $100.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

19. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless My CFB and its operators from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use, material violation of these Terms, or content that infringes another person's rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from My CFB's own unlawful conduct.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Alabama law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. A dispute not subject to a mandatory alternative procedure will be handled by a court of competent jurisdiction in Alabama unless applicable consumer law permits another forum. Nothing limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will update the effective date and may provide additional notice when a change materially affects rights or obligations. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If you disagree, stop using the Service.

22. Severability

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the fullest extent permitted by law.

23. No waiver

Failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

24. Entire agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any additional terms specifically presented for a future feature constitute the agreement concerning use of the Service.
